Healthcare Technology Corporation Races for CURE

Cure Cure2

Folks from all over Upstate NY turned out to show their support this past Saturday as CURE Childhood Cancer Association hosted its 6th Annual CURE 5k & Fun Walk at Rochester’s Seneca Park Zoo.  The event was established to help raise funds as well as, awareness for childhood cancers and chronic blood disorders.  Proceeds from the event help provide financial assistance and support to many local families whose children have been diagnosed.  According to Holly Dutcher, CURE’s associate director, in the Rochester, NY area alone, on average 60 – 75 children are diagnosed with cancer every year.

The Cornerstone Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC proudly sponsored this years’ event and supporters of all ages came together to help make it a giant success. Team HTC rallied for the run and finished the 5k with a first place win in the women’s bracket, for ages 40-49.

“CURE has been helping children and families of Rochester for almost 40 years.  To see the smiles on these young faces and families that have come here today, is truly inspiring”, said HTC Team Captain, Anne Marie Strobridge.  “We’re already looking forward to next years event!”
