Healthcare Technology Corporation put their paddles up and participated in the 2014 One Square Mile of Hope fundraising event held on 4th Lake in Inlet, NY.  The Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks partnered with the 2014 One Square Mile of Hope committee to help raise funds and awareness for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and to break last year’s Guinness Book of World Record set for the largest raft of canoes and kayaks.  According to the most current “unofficial count” it appears the recent September 13th event broke the record set in Michigan last November.

“I’m extremely proud and thankful for this opportunity to participate in such an incredible event”, said Stephen Strobridge, President of Healthcare Technology Corporation.  “We have friends and family that have been touched by this horrific disease and it’s with hope that today’s fundraiser will help to increase awareness, benefit further research and most importantly, bring us closer to finding a cure”.

People of all ages came from near and far to brave the cool temps and steady rain to take part in this extraordinary event.  At 11:45am the horn went off, the paddles went up and the official count was underway.  A fast 15 minutes later, the planes circling overhead finished taking photos, completed their count and the huge raft slowly began to disassemble.
